I have been recently churning out a lot of art in the past month! I am honored to be a part of two local art shows in Albuquerque, coming up in the next few weeks.
#1. The eighth annual people’s art show at the Factory on 5th art Space- 5G gallery. factory on 5th website
This is a community show and not juried. It is a compilation of fabulous work from many local Albuquerque artists.
The show will have an opening on February 3rd, 2017 from 6-10pm. After the opening, the show will stay up until February 24th, 2017.
I entered a small, green painting, acrylic on canvas-8″x 10″, called “concentric circles-ripples”.
#2.I will be participating in a juried show at Tortuga Gallery Tortuga gallery website called “Turtle Show 2017”!
This is a juried show and will have an opening on February 3rd, 2017 from 6-8pm, with 17 participating artists. The show has a turtle theme and all artworks will have a turtle element somewhere in the piece. I submitted three pieces and I am honored to say that all of them were accepted! The Turtle show will have a closing reception on February 24th 2017, from 6 to 8pm.
In addition to these two gallery shows that I have the privilege of participating in, I have started to consign some of my small pieces in two, awesome, local shops!
#1. The Octopus and the Fox Octopus and the Fox website. This is an amazing shop in Albuquerque where many local artists consign beautiful, handmade items such as clothing, jewelry, art etc…!
#2. Three Coyotes Studio Three Coyotes studio website. This is a brand new shop and studio opening up in conjunction with Wildlife West Nature Park and Zoo, in Edgewood, New Mexico. Many local artists will be consigning their unique creations here. An incredible place!
I am so lucky to be a small part of these wonderful, local shops!
ART O MAT
Art-o-mat: Art-o-mat website is a completely wonderful project where old cigarette dispenser machines have been rehabilitated and re-made to become art dispensers! I am very happy to be a tiny part of this coooool project! Look for an Art-o-mat machine near you!
In the past month, I have decided to revive my online art shop on ETSY. I had started up my etsy shop way back in 2007 (I’ve had it for 10 years now??? what???!). After returning from my Peace Corps service in Morocco, and after a long dormancy, it has been revived and I’ve added a lot of new, handmade goodies! I currently have 70 original, handmade items available on my shop and I hope to add more as time goes by.
Please feel free to have a look at my little online art shop- Lindsay Brenner’s online art shop! (linzb.etsy.com)
Thanks for having a look at my new blog and have a super day!
